6000 attending on a Tuesday 09:20 - Sep 28 with 5541 viewsaleanddale

Is this a club record ( recent times say last 15 seasons ) in the league?

Fair play Bolton packed the away stand out.

Zero trouble all the bolton lads I talked too were disappointed but full off praise for how we had an obvious gameplan and stuck to it ( worked to perfection )

Good loud vocal fans - not sure why they "turned" at the end.. Chris Taylor getting ironically cheered off!!!

Crowd massively inflated with Bolton fans. I wonder what the highest home attendance (excluding away fans) has been in the same 15 season period.

I thought the home turnout was pretty poor. We should be closer to 4,000 for these games. I think we were outnumbered last night.

Outsung for a lot of it too, but the goal quietened them down and the atmosphere was buzzing at the end.

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!

5371 - the Darlington game the Tuesday night we should've been promoted for the 1st time in 40 years. Certainly the most home fans on a Tuesday night league game I've been to.

Burnley 8175. Tuesday 5th May 1992.
Last game of the season, they were champions and we had to win to get in the play offs.
We lost 1-3 after John Ryan put us ahead.

Great night that was D_Alien

JLAA Picked the centre Half pocket and scored a great goal to make it 2-0.

Then Cogba smashed our 3rd in late doors!!

There's something about these types of evening kickoffs in early autumn or late spring, when it's still mild but where the intensity of the matches are red hot.

A lot of us were shaking our heads when the fixtures came out with Bolton a midweek kickoff, but last night's game is one for the memory bank, with Davies' goal etched in the mind's eye I talked about a couple of days ago. Same with the JLAA strike.

They bloody murdered us that night. We could have lost 5-0 and couldn't have argued. That 3-0 was possibly the most flattering scoreline to us in a game I've known. Loved every minute of it!!!

I'm sure a recall a 5k+ plus Tuesday night v Chesterfield maybe 15 years ago, when we were first and second. I know not 6k but surely a lot of Dale fans as can't imagine Chesterfield brought many. Of course, I could be totally wrong!

6303, but that was a cup tie, not a league game.

Undoubted knowledge? Or just the application of common sense and using my brain?

Will Buckley ran them ragged , think they had 5 players yellow carded all for fouling young Will - he had an amazing game and frightened them to death.

Yep. The game was almost postponed but Fulham had already travelled, so the decision was taken to go ahead and play.

What a horrible evening that was. I was working in Hatfield at the time and had to get up at 4:00am the next day to get to work. Thought it would be worth it to see us promoted.
