Tour of Bangladesh and India 17:58 - Oct 20 with 2822 views | ColDale | Crazy scheduling that they're playing seven tests in eight weeks or so - especially in those conditions. I like the idea of Bangladesh as a warm up to India but they're going to need a serious rest after this. Having watched the first hour today, I was quite pleased with the score at stumps, and am almost tempted to call it England's day given how it transpired. I know these Asian wickets definitely need both teams batting before you can judge, but at one point, people with day three tickets might have been wanting a refund.
Tour of Bangladesh and India on 18:02 - Oct 20 with 1863 views | D_Alien | It'll work in England's favour if Bangladesh can provide decent opposition prior to the series in India - providing they don't beat us of course! For anyone interested, I believe ITV4 are showing highlights of the day's play at 7pm each evening; this in place of scheduled programmes. If they don't, blame the ITV1 Champions League programme last night, where this was announced.

Tour of Bangladesh and India on 18:05 - Oct 20 with 1858 views | Daley_Lama | The ball was easier to play once it went soft, for the first couple of hours however it was spinning for fun. Well, when i say for fun, it was when it gripped, sometimes it didn't bother to spin at all. Moeen v the 4th umpire became almost comical.

Tour of Bangladesh and India on 12:12 - Oct 22 with 1592 views | Daley_Lama | The Rashid wicket just given was a bit harsh for me. The 3rd umpire had the ball hitting pad before bat and gave him out LBW. From snicko and side on, it looked to me that they were instantaneous and the benefit should have gone to the batsman, especially as he had been given not out. Sky don't seem miffed about it though so it's probably my eyes only.

cricinfo text commentary has it hitting the front leg (in line) before the pad/bat

It's actually been a very good match all round even though the run rate per over is not great. Some of the spin and ball deviation is unbelievable. Not been a boring session so far - looking forward to tomorrow

The front leg was the pad/bat, It wasn't a flick off the front pad then bat/pad with the second pad. I've watched a few times more and I can just about see, I think, the ball just touching his pad before bat, the slightest brush before a nano second later hitting the bat and pad fully. Right result on review of the review. Good umpiring.

Yes, you're right, the cricinfo text commentary was misleading (mis-leading leg?) and i could see what you mean when I watched the highlights Fascinatingly poised at 86-2 at lunch, big wicket by Rashid

I'd go so far as to call it a great test match. Forget the status of the opposition - purely on the ebb & flo on a pitch that's allowed skilful batsmen to dig in then play strokes whilst testing the resolve of everyone - isn't that the definition of a Test? And seeing a total of eight spin bowlers of every variety deployed has been brilliant, making Stokes contribution yesterday morning outstanding in the heat. Whatever the result, Bangladesh are a worthy opponent, certainly on home soil. Alarm set for 4.50am

Couldn't agree more. Have seen almost the whole game and been as enjoyable as almost any I can remember. Brilliant performances on both sides 1 team is going to be absolutely gutted tomorrow. Still would have England as favourites but hats off to the tigers if they pull it off
