Excellent display, one of our best of the season. Second half we controlled the ball very well with Rathbone particularly impressing, he chooses the right pass almost every time.
Great man-management by Hill too; Bunney had a very dodgy five mins and McGahey was stripped ready to come on. A couple of 'boot through it' balls by Bunney settled him down and it was Davies who was withdrawn for McGahey and Bunney up front. Then NML came on for Bunney and its 2-0.
Keane was imperious and the decision to withdraw Canavan was a real turning point. Saying that, he should start again on Tuesday with the instruction not to get booked. If he can't manage that, take him off again. | |

Fantastic performance and fantastic result. As 442 says, wily Hill deserves extra credit today for firstly bringing Canavan off when leaving him on surely would've resulted in a red card, and getting Bunney to up his game by having McGahey stand ready to come on for a few minutes.
Keane, Rafferty and Rathbone all really impressed. As for Henderson, by god does he frustrate. His talent is very much alive and on show but he tries to over-complicate everything by plotting the perfect goal.

TheFA stated that the one-minute silece would only be observed at Premiership matches. Presumaly because their matches are broadcast worldwide so that we can show the world we care.
Not including all clubs at other levels makes it smack of a publicity stunt. Why shouldn't all clubs be able to pay their respects ? | |
