Talk sport we're asking Millwall's CEO what's the difference in income between league 1/Championship bearing in mind they call the Championship/Premier League play off game the "£100 million game".
He said it was £8.6 million - but then said "if we were promoted we'd spend more than that in wages"! |  |

See, that's the problem. They don't HAVE to pay stupid wages. Yes, the wage budget can increase but if we went up we could double it and still make good money, whilst relying on Hill constructing a squad to keep us up. | |

but were any of them on long contracts? You can survive with high wages for players provided the commitment isnt long term, unless you are in the NFL were no contracts are 'guarenteed' which seems to make a mockery of the term contract. | | | |

It was a while ago now, but Hilly said he'd need a budget of at least an extra £2m, probably £3m, to make us competitive in the championship
