Swansea Chief Unaware of Priskin Dispute
Swansea Chief Unaware of Priskin Dispute

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins claims he is unaware of the dispute between his club and the Blues regarding cash owed on the Tamás Priskin loan deal. TWTD understands that the Swans owe Town a total of £300,000 relating to wages and the £160,000 promotion bonus we revealed earlier this month.

Jenkins said: "In response to Ipswich Town's statement, as a club we are completely unaware of any dispute with Ipswich.

"Myself and Simon Clegg talked a few weeks ago regarding the situation of Tamás Priskin returning early from his loan spell, but there has been no correspondence since.

"While we are surprised and disappointed with Simon's statement, we will address the situation and speak to him and Ipswich early next week."

Jenkins previously clashed with Town boss Paul Jewell during his time as Derby boss over the Rams’ attempts to sign midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

Prior to Priskin's move, Town and the Swans were unable to agree a deal which would have taken Jason Scotland back to the Liberty Stadium with Jenkins at one stage denying that contact had been made between the two clubs despite the Blues boss and his Swansea counterpart Brendan Rodgers having confirmed that talks had taken place.
