Come On You Fox's
Come On You Fox's
Monday, 23rd Apr 2012 12:17

A big portion of Hampshire will be turning into a hotbed of support for Leicester City tonight and hoping that the Fox's will do us a big favour.

Saints fans will be tuning into their TV sets & radios tonight and willing Leicester City to beat West Ham United or even draw with them knowing that either result will send Saints up into the Premiership after a gap of seven years.

Households and pubs in a wide radius of Southampton will be cheering the home side on and vowing never to buy any other crisp brand than Walkers if they do us a big favour.

Of course Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is an ex Saints boss and speaks fondly of the club, so hopefully he will keep his side focused on getting the result that will send Saints fans wild.

So come on Leicester City the second side of every Saints fan today and hopefully for a while yet meaning we wont have to switch to Hull tommorrow

We have shot ourselves in the foot on numerous occasions this season. Fortunately West Ham seem to be even better at throwing games away than we are. So, here's to Leicester tonight.

An anti-climax if we win because of someone else's failure rather than being able to celibrate after a match where we have done it ourselves. Don't know when I last felt as deflated as after Middlesbrough. Great party atmosphere at the start and might have been an evening to go down in history.

If WH do win tonight it will be very tight on Saturday. Saints will be nervous as hell and even more prone than usual to make mistakes.

Nigel Pearson will do us no favours tonight im afraid. No play offs coupled with our dismissle of him after he saved us will ensure a WH victory tonight, just as Brighton rolled over so will Leicester. It will be down to us on Saturday my friends be prepared for it.

The Chairman who dismissed Pearson is long gone - the fans who supported him strongly and continue to think highly of him are still here. Whatever the result tonight, Pearson is too much of a pro to do anything other than try and win.

My god why are we clutching at so many straws? We don't need to rely on the Foxes beating the Spam. We just need to score one more goal than Coventry, a team who have been relegated. If we can't do that then we don't deserve to be in the Prem next season. Simple.

I haven't been as tense as this since the doc said 'That's going to have to come off'.
