Lillis in, Arthur Out
Lillis in, Arthur Out

An injury has ruled Kenny Arthur out of the top of the table clash with Bournemouth this weekend, meaning we've drafted in Scunny keeper Josh Lillis on an emergency loan.

Dale custodian Kenny Arthur has sustained a back injury ruling him out of the trip to Dorset, and with back up keeper Matty Edwards out with a broken finger too, Dale were left with just youth team keeper Danny Taberner.

So we've brought in Lillis on loan from Scunthorpe. Lillis is no stranger to League Two having had spells on loan at Notts County and Grimsby, and he played at Spotland earlier this year for the Magpies.

Lillis is the son of former Halifax manager Mark Lillis, a man who was rumoured to have applied for the Dale manager's job a few years ago.
