Goalkeeper Tom Heaton plays the final game of his loan spell at Spotland this afternoon.

Today's encounter with Morecambe is the final game of Tom Heaton's spell with Dale following his stint at Spotland on loan from Premiership Champions Manchester United.

It is believed there are still injury issues with Kenny Arthur and Matty Edwards, and youth team keeper Danny Taberner has been named as the replacement goalkeeper on the bench throughout Heaton's stay at the club.

It had been suggested that Heaton would be rejoining QPR when the January transfer window opens, after a similarly successful loan spell with the Hoops earlier in the season. However, the sacking of Jim Magilton puts a question mark over this, and perhaps leaves the door slightly ajar for Heaton to continue his time at Dale.
