As Roberto Martinez says Ferrie should target the World Cup, a dutch paper claims Reading are ready

The Evening Post believes that Derby will soon be knocking on the door at the Liberty Stadium again with an increased offer for the Dutch midfielder whilst reports in Holland suggest that another side relegated last season - Reading - are also potentially showing an interest.

And so far the Swans have seemed determined to hold onto their man - Derby's £500,000 bid has already been rejected and Martinez clearly is full of praise for the man who he gave a chance to last summer when he snatched him from ADO Den Haag.

"There is interest in Ferrie because of the part he has played in the club's success. With the style we play and the results we have had, there's going to be interest in our players - it's a sign of doing well.

"We all know how much we want Ferrie to be part of this club's future. It is difficult sometimes for a player when there is interest shown in him, but the important thing is to stay focused on the challenge ahead.

"I have spoken to him and he has always said he wants to progress and play at a higher level. You want to see that ambition in players.

"He has the potential to play for a Champions League club. He can do what he did in League One when we move into the Championship and then the next task is to get to the Premier League with Swansea.

"He has then got to look at playing in the World Cup for Holland."

There have also been rumours that Bodde is unsettled in Swansea and some rumours have also stated that the player has put in a transfer request although none of these are confirmed at present and the club have stated previously that they expect to hold onto their man.
