This is the diary of what happened on Friday 23rd May - Day 1 in the Big Jack Brother House

23.05.03 - 7pm - The housemates decided to open the wine provided for them by Big Jack Brother. Nick Rees was first to the alcohol and surprisingly offered John Hollins a glass first. John looked at the choice with a confused look on his face and after ten minutes Nick got bored and turned his offerings to Leigh. The remaining housemates all took a glass apart from Reeco who sulked in the corner at the absence of Diet Coke. As he told the diary room later on he was silently vowing to start a protest and quickly formed the Big Jack Brother Alliance.

23.05.03 7.54pm - The Baileys was quickly going to Myra's head as she kicked off her shoes and began to dance on the table. The remaining housemates were clearly impressed with her version of Allouetta with the exception of John Williams who was asleep to the side of the group.

23.05.03 8.11pm - The housemates are told what their budget will be for the first week's food. Peter Owen claims that it is great value for money and if you spend it before midnight then you will get a further week's budget free. Leigh canvasses the housemates to see if they want to chip in for more food at 25p per week for the nine weeks. James Thomas decides he wants two week budget instead of the usual one.

23.05.03 - 8.37pm - Excitement in the Big Jack Brother House. The housemates are convinced that they have been given a little dog to look after and fuss over it for ten minutes before Myra points out that it is Leon Britton. Reeco looks horrified as he apologies to Mr Britton over and over again.

23.05.03 - 8.59pm - John Williams wakes up and announces that he is going to bed as he is a little tired from all the exercise. Steve Watkin heads off to the bedroom too. He holds the door open for John.

23.05.03 - 9.12pm - John Williams finally makes it to the bedroom

23.05.03 - 9.27pm - John Hollins announces that he will have 'a glass of wine please Nick' - the housemates look at him and wonder what is going on and realise that he has spent the last two hours making the decision.

23.05.03 - 10.13pm - With the wine flowing, the housemates are concerned with Jason Smith. So far he has broken three wine glasses and two chairs but thankfully appears to be in one piece himself. Bar the three cut fingers and the gashed eye.

23.05.03 - 10.47pm - After finishing his third glass of wine, Leighton James takes issue with Myra over the stock in the club shop. "Look woman" he says "When I used to run the club shop there was everything you ever needed in it. And I used to take phone orders and then drive round and deliver the goods in between training - you people don't know how easy it is, I was a professional club shop person type thing - you know nothing" - The veins in his head look dangerously close to exploding

23.05.03 - 11.39pm - Bad news in the house. The alcohol has all gone and there are plenty of rows about how much of this week's budget will be spent on replenishing the supplies. John Hollins is convinced that he can get just the same quality food without paying for it and is convinced that the budget is good enough. Nick is turning everything into roubles and James Thomas has lost it and keeps telling everyone how he scored a hat-trick against Hull.

24.05.03 - 12.27am - John Williams wakes up, turns over, and goes back to sleep

24.05.03 - 1.13am - All of the housemates are in bed with the exception of Nick, Reeco, Leon and Leigh. Nick has suggested a game where they talk in letters rather than words. As he explained if you want to say "I came from Moscow" you just say "ICFM" and the rest have to guess what he is talking about. Reeco is winning hands down at the moment.

24.05.03 - 2.56am - All four remaining housemates go to bed. Nick and Reeco give Leon a 'leg up' so he can get into bed whilst Leigh lets the other three vote him into bed and says that he is happy to have his bed place up for election every week.

24.05.03 - 3.11am - Steve Watkin gets up to visit the toilet. All is fine until he pees all over the floor by mistake. As he returns to the bedroom he tries to get into bed but ends up sleeping on the floor next to it.

24.05.03 - 3.44am - all the housemates are finally asleep

And that is the story of the first day in the Big Jack Brother house. DOn't forget to tune back later as we open the voting for who you want to see evicted from the house first. Remember the first eviction is next Friday.
