Back in Acc? Tuesday, 30th Apr 2013 17:27 by Col Former management duo John Coleman and Jimmy Bell have today issued a "Come and get us" plea to Accrington Stanley after Accy boss Leam Richardson jumped ship to become Assistant Manager at Chesterfield. The former Dale trialist's decision to head to Chesterfield has left a managerial vacancy at Accrington and before the managerial door had fully shut, a familiar voice had declared an interest to return. Speaking to BBC Lancashire, Jimmy Bell said: "We are passionate about the club. There is no-one better than us who understands Accrington. I know that I can speak for John when I say that we've got a lot of affinity with both the town and club for what it has done for us and what we have done for it. "We want to repay that faith by building a squad that is capable of pushing to League One and beyond. We know Accrington doesn't have a big budget but that never stopped us from improving year-on-year when we were at the club. We know how to get the best from players and that's more important. We are available and would put our heart and soul into the club if we were to return." The decision by Richardson to head to Chesterfield is in itself a strange one. He had the chance to become the Assistant Manager at Chesterfield earlier in the season when Paul Cook took over, but opted to give management a go at the Crown Ground. Despite a rocky start, he led Stanley to safety with an impressive run of five wins and two draws in their final nine games, and it would certainly appear from the outset that he had started to find his managerial feet. But his decision to head to Chesterfield for a lesser job brings up all sorts of questions about his role and his job security at Accrington.
