Former Dale striker Rickie Lambert has completed his move to Liverpool, with the deal being announced on Monday.

Having flown out to Miami with the rest of the England World Cup squad on Sunday, the deal taking Lambert from Southampton to Liverpool was officially confirmed on Monday.

The fee was lower than first officially mentioned, with an initial fee of £4 million being mentioned with a number of add ons that could take the fee as high as £7 million eventually.

The sell on has been confirmed with Dale taking 25% of any profit that Bristol Rovers make on the deal. Their deal sees them taking 20% of any profit from Southampton, so it is estimated that Dale will take a cut in excess of £150,000 from this transfer.
