One trip to the seaside and it's like we've never been away. Halifax Town are next on the preseason agenda, as we renew rivalries with them lot from over the hills.

The Shay has always been a happy place for Dale supporters, with our last defeat in any sort of game coming back in 1990 in the days of Keith Welch, Jimmy Graham and Steve Doyle. Of course, the results of friendlies don't count for much, but Dale fans enjoyed their return to the Shay last season with a 2-1 victory over the Shaymen.

We will be once again put in the main stand and given that it's a Tuesday night game, there shouldn't be any problems with the capacity this time round after last year's farce.

Admission to the game will be £8 for adults, £6 for concessions, £3 for under sixteens and free of charge for those under seven.
