Refwatch Preview: Crewe v Dale - JPT
Tuesday, 2nd Sep 2014 05:25 by TVOS

Northumberland referee Scott Duncan is the man in the middle for Dale’s JPT tie at Crewe on Tuesday.

The Newcastle-based official is in his third year on the league list, but has made good progress to take charge of a number of Championship games this season and last, in addition to refereeing Fleetwood v York in the play-offs in May.

Scott also oversaw the recent Lancashire derby between Preston and Oldham, while last Tuesday he refereed Brentford v Fulham in the Capital One Cup.

We last saw Mr Duncan at Spotland in February for the 1-1 draw with Burton and before that, his only other Dale game was in November 2012 against Bristol Rovers.

Andrew Tutte and Bobby Grant scored as Dale came from behind to win 2-1, but Scott’s involvement saw him show red cards to two Rovers players as the visitors lost their discipline in the second half.

Before the weekend, he had refereed six games this season, showing 15 yellow cards.
