Coleman linked with Accy return Monday, 15th Sep 2014 18:19 by Col Former Dale boss John Coleman has been installed as clear favourite for a return to Accrington Stanley. Accy parted company with James Beattie by mutual consent last week in a move which surprised many. Beattie had done a decent job at Accy after a difficult start last season, keeping them in League Two last season with a very comfortable 15th placed finish. But it comes as no surprise to see Coleman installed as favourite for a return to the Crown Ground. Despite only taking his current job at Sligo Rovers in June of this year, it would appear that he is red hot favourite for a return to Accy. He and Jimmy Bell were in their directors box to watch them overcome AFC Wimbledon at the weekend. Since leaving Dale, he has failed to get another Football League job and dropped into the Conference with Southport last season. He kept them up, but his departure was tainted by comments from the Southport Chairman citing touchine behaviour as one of the reasons for his departure.
