Cywka joins from Tangerines

With an injury crisis hitting the midfield, Dale have drafted in Blackpool midfielder Tomasz Cywka on loan until the start of January.

The Polish midfielder previously played for Hill at Barnsley, and with injuries to midfielders Vincenti, Dawson and Lund, he has been recruited ahead of this week's derby game with Oldham Athletic.

Our forum resident Barnsley expert Whitey remarked on Cywka: Cywka is more of a winger, or number 10. He can't head, tackle or graft.

He was largely ineffective during his time with us, more often than not a substitute. From the bench, he scored the occasional worldy (see videos above). That would get folk wanting him to start games, but whenever he did, he was useless.

He's a great option off the bench, late on, an impact player if ever there was one. Flattered to deceive when starting, but exciting when he wanted to be.

I can see the logic here. No Done, Vincenti for now. RNL will be tiring after 60 minutes considering his lack of games the last year or so. So Tomasz is a great option to come on and at this level he ought to stand out. Me t him once, genuinely lovely kid. Loves his fishing.
