O'Connell back on loan? Tuesday, 3rd Feb 2015 16:50 by Col After signing for Brentford on Monday, former Dale loanee Jack O'Connell suggested that we might not have seen the back of him after all. O'Connell dashed Dale hopes of making his time at the club a permanent one when he signed a three and a half year deal with Premier League chasing Brentford on Monday for a fee believed to be £200,000. But in his introduction video on Bees Player, he stated that his immediate future was back to League One with "Rochdale or another League One club" as Brentford were very keen for him to continue getting game time before joining up with them next season. He then went on to say that he didn't mind where played as long as he was getting games, whether that be for Rochdale or Brentford. The loan window will reopen next week, and with these comments, you'd certainly assume that a third spell at Spotland is a very distinct possibility.
