Muldoon, McGinty and Brandy released

With the dust still settling on the 2014-15 season, Keith Hill has already started work on his rebuilding campaign for next season by showing the door to three of the first team squad.

You could hardly say that it was a surprise to see any of the three leave. Febien Brandy found it impossible to establish himself at the club, and other than a couple of cameos, it won't be a spell he'll look back with fondness, and rumours have it that he actually left Spotland a couple of weeks ago.

Muldoon found the step up to League Football a touch too far and again it was far from surprising to see his name on the released list. Having given up a full time job to try his hand at the professional game, he couldn't transform his form from Worksop and he saw himself loaned out to Halifax late in the season.

As for McGinty, his time at Spotland was practically up last Summer. He was given ample opportunity in preseason to try and impress but with each outing, the chances of him playing for the club was reduced, and it was no surprise to anyone that he didn't even make the bench throughout the season. Loan spells at Halifax and Aldershot suggested a move elsewhere, but it won't hide the fact that McGinty will go down as one of the club's worst signings under Hill.
