Dale have announced another Summer signing - Heywood born Lewis Alessandra on a free transfer from Plymouth.

Alessandra has penned a two year contract at Spotland rejecting an offer from Argyle and other clubs in the process, and in doing so completes a journey that saw him start at Dale's School of Excellence as a school boy.

He is a winger / striker by trade, and is noted for his skill, pace and efforts, and whilst his finishing is questioned by Argyle supporters, he finished last season with thirteen goals to his name as he helped the Devon side reach the Play Offs.
