Refwatch: Swindon v Dale
Thursday, 10th Dec 2015 19:41 by TVOS

David Webb will make the long trip down from County Durham to referee Dale’s game at Swindon on Saturday.

The official, who joined the league list in 2008, is taking charge of a Dale match for the second time this season, having been the man in the middle for the 2-1 home loss to Walsall in August.

We also saw David at the final match of last season when a second half collapse at Barnsley led to a 5-0 defeat and a red card for Joe Rafferty.

In September 2013 Mr Webb officiated at Dale’s 3-2 home defeat of Wycombe, while prior to that he had refereed three consecutive 2-2 draws involving Dale.

The sequence started in April 2011 when David was in charge of the excellent home game against Brighton.

Six months later he was back at Spotland for the 2-2 draw with Colchester, while the following March, Mr Webb was in the middle when we grabbed a point from a 2-2 draw at Huddersfield.

The full list of Mr Webb’s Dale matches as a referee is:

Oct 08 Rochdale v Dagenham L 0-2

Apr 10 Hereford v Rochdale L 1-2

Apr 11 Rochdale v Brighton D 2-2

Sep 12 Rochdale v Barnet W 2-0

So far this season David has taken charge of 17 games, showing 57 yellow cards and two red. He has also already refereed Swindon this term in their 1-0 loss at Blackpool in October.
