Refwatch: Dale v Swindon
Friday, 29th Apr 2016 05:45 by TVOS

Northumberland referee Scott Duncan is the man in the middle for Dale’s final home game of the season against Swindon on Saturday.

The Northumberland-based whistler is taking charge of his second Dale match in two months as he was also the man in the middle for our 2-2 draw at Bradford in February when he was a late replacement for the original referee.

Mr Duncan is in his fourth term on the league list, but has made good progress to officiate at a number of Championship games in the last two seasons, in addition to refereeing Fleetwood v York in the League Two play-offs in May 2014.

Earlier this season he was in charge of Oxford v Millwall in the JPT southern final, second leg, while notable recent league appointments are Wigan v Bury, Huddersfield v Burnley and Middlesbrough v Reading.

Other Dale games refereed by Scott were our 3-0 JPT win at Crewe in September 2014, a 1-1 home draw with Burton earlier that year and a home game against Bristol Rovers in November 2012.

Andrew Tutte and Bobby Grant scored as Dale came from behind to win that match 2-1, but Mr Duncan’s involvement saw him show red cards to two Rovers players as the visitors lost their discipline in the second half.

So far this season, Scott has refereed 35 games this season, showing 90 yellow cards and two red.
