With the season less than 24 hours over, Calvin Andrew has extended his time with Dale by signing a new contract.

After being offered a new deal by Keith Hill last week, it was no surprise to see Andrew take up that offer after what must be the most successful spell in his career.

Having arrived at Spotland as a much maligned striker, he has won over the hearts and minds of the Dale support playing a pivotal part in a Dale squad that in successive seasons has achieved a highest ever position and a highest ever points total at this level. In both his seasons with the club, he has scored more goals than he has ever scored in a season before.

Following this news, it leaves Ashley Eastham, Ollie Lancashire and Josh Lillis considering contract offers from the club.
