And I would walk 500 more...

Well actually its nearer to 1250 more miles as we take our annual look at how many miles we'll be accumulating in our away trips for 2016-17.

With AFC Wimbledon confirming themselves as the final League One team for 2016-17, all the runners and riders are in for next season, and we've got our calculator and route planner out to see how our away trips for next season will compare with the season just gone.

The bad news is (if you're Rochdale based) is that the changes of teams in the division will ensure a lot longer spent on the motorways.

* If you got to all of the games, you'll be chalking up 5,756 miles in round trips compared with just 4,512 last season.

* The average trip to a League One away game will be 125 miles compared with 98 last season.

* Oldham remains our closest away game by a matter of metres compared with a trip to Bury, whilst Gillingham remains unopposed as our longest away trip.

The full list of distances are:
Oldham 6.1
Bury 6.2
Bolton 20.9
Bradford City 30
Sheffield United 47
Port Vale 49
Fleetwood 51

All distances have been calculated from the RAC website, using the quickest route available from football ground to football ground.
