We will return to the scene of Steve Eyre's finest moment in round two of the EFL Cup, after being drawn away at Queens Park Rangers.

Our reward for beating the Spireites is a trip to the capital to take on Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's QPR side. The Championship side made it through after a narrow penalties victory over League One's Swindon Town. No date has been set for this game but it will take place in week beginning 22nd August.

Dale famously recorded a 2-0 victory at Loftus Road five years ago, when QPR were in the Premier League. In something of a coincidence, when Dale were drawn against QPR last time it followed a victory over Chesterfield in the first round. That win remains Dale's only away win a top flight opposition.
