Refwatch: Carlisle v Dale

Mark Haywood will make the trip from Wakefield to take charge of Dale’s FA Cup second round tie at Carlisle on Saturday.

This will be his first Dale game in over a year as we last saw him in October 2015 at the 0-0 home draw with Coventry.

A couple of months earlier Mark was in the middle for Dale’s Capital One Cup tie at Hull, which The Tigers won 1-0.

Mr Haywood has been a regular fixture at our matches since joining the league list in 2006 and Saturday will be his 20th Rochdale appointment in that time.

So far this season, Mark has refereed 17 games, showing 55 yellow cards and four red.

His most recent match was Cheltenham v Colchester a week ago last Tuesday.
