Refwatch: Peterborough v Dale
Friday, 24th Feb 2017 09:27 by TVOS

Chris Sarginson is the man in the middle when Dale travel to Peterborough on Saturday.

This is the second time the Staffordshire official has refereed Dale this season, as he was in charge of the 1-1 home draw with AFC Wimbledon in August.

Last term, Chris refereed Dale’s 3-1 home defeat of Swindon in the FA Cup, while eight months earlier he had overseen another 3-1 home win for Dale when we saw off Scunthorpe in a League One fixture.

Mr Sarginson was also the man in the middle in December 2011 when the 0-0 home draw with Yeovil proved to be the last match in charge for Former Rochdale Manager Steve Eyre.

We have met Chris on the road on several other occasions and Saturday will be his 11th Dale appointment.

The most recent of those was in November 2013 at Chesterfield in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, where Dale were on the wrong end of a 3-0 scoreline.

Chris’s full list of Dale games is:

Oct 08 Lincoln (a), D 1-1

Feb 09 Macclesfield (a), W 1-0

Aug 09 Sheffield Wed (a, LC), L 0-3

Feb 10 Bradford (h), L 1-3

Dec 11 Yeovil (h), D 0-0

Feb 13 Barnet (a), D 0-0

Nov 13 Chesterfield (a, JPT), L 0-3

Mar 15 Scunthorpe (h), W 3-1

Nov 15 Swindon (h, FAC), W 3-1

Aug 16 AFC Wimbledon (h), D 1-1

So far this season, Chris has refereed 28 games, showing 88 yellow cards and four red. His most recent game was Plymouth v Leyton Orient last Tuesday.
