Holden incoming

Dale have added to their ranks by the signing of left sided forward Rory Holden on a loan move to the end of the season.

Holden comes to Dale on loan from Bristol City where he has been since the Summer of 2017. He's been a regular in their U23 side, earning praise from their coach Alex Ball who praised him last year with “In the last few games, it’s not just been tonight, he’s been one of our top performers in terms of his attacking play. We’re able to press from the front with intensity and aggression and he’s added that in to his game which maybe he didn’t have when he joined us

In terms of judging if he's any good or not, he comes to the club having spent the last few weeks here so he's not an unknown signing out of the blue. His early days saw him grow up in his native Northern Ireland so you'd imagine that the Brian Barry-Murphy link which has seen us link up with Ryan Delaney amongst others has kicked in again.

He has played for Northern Ireland U21, where he played alongside Callum Camps.
