Ethan Times

Dale have swooped for two loanees on Friday, one which was rumoured and another that came completely out of the blue.

The surprising one was Ethan Ebanks-Landell who joins the club from Wolves on loan for the rest of the season. From a quick google, he sound exactly what we've been missing - a big dominant centre half, with plenty of experience in League One, who can prove to be a threat in the opposing box as well.

He's been at Wolves since he was just nine and he's made a number of appearances for them. He's had loan spells at Bury where he successfully helped them to relegation in 2012-13, whilst he was part of the Sheffield United side that won the Championship back in 2016-17. He also had a lengthy spell at MK Dons last season.

The second signing was another Ethan with the loan signing from Manchester United of Ethan Hamilton. He's been rumoured to be signing for Dale for the past couple of days, and has been described by Keith Hill as a direct replacement for David Perkins.

The Scottish midfielder has represented his country at age levels up to U19, and has been called up to the United first team squad on one occasion in last season's FA Cup.

Both are expected to be given run outs at Peterborough on Saturday.
