Reserves lose 3-0 at Gigg Lane

What can only be described as being an experimental Rochdale XI crashed 3-0 to Bury.

The Rochdale side didn't contain new signing Antony Elding. In fact it didn't contain any regulars at all as Dale boss Keith Hil opted to send a side containing trialists and youth players rather than the first team with none of the side who faced Bolton featuring.

The Dale Team was:

1. Matt Edwards 2. Chris Brown 3. Alan Goodall 4. Matt Flynn 5. Jacob Rowe (Trialist from Birmingham City) 6. Callum Byrne 7. Jamie Sheldon (Trialist who's ex Birmingham) 8. Tyrone Amory (Trialist who's ex Derby County before dropping into NL) 9. Dean Morgan (Trialist from MK Dons) 10. Jack Redshaw 11. Matty Done

We even had a second half cameo from David FLitcroft in the defeat in which former Rochdale players Andrew Haworth and Andy Bishop were amongst the scorers.

As part of the friendly arrangements, Dale took 50% of the gate receipts.
