Dale boss Keith Hill has added to his ranks by bringing back former Dale favourite Tom Kennedy on a loan deal from Leicester City.

Kennedy's time at Leicester hasn't gone according to plan. Having seen the manager he signed for depart before the season even started, he then found himself not in new boss Paulo Sousa's plans with the odd appearance coming in the Carling Cup.

However, Sousa's dismissal and replacement by Sven has seen the former England manager been given the green light to bring in a whole host of new signings, with three new faces already brought in. Crucially, one of these loanees was a left back putting TK further down the pecking order.

He was made available for loan last week, and there had been talk of a temporary switch to Carlisle after the Cumbrian's boss expressed his interest, but there was only one club that Kennedy was looking to join, and that switch was made on Monday.

Kennedy will be in the squad to face Oldham Athletic on Tuesday evening.
