Saints fans were warned that if the Club did not accept the SISU bid then cuts would have to be made, Leon Crouch hinted that he thought that the losses were exagerated, but were they.

Back in December as SISU loomed large over Southampton and the pros and cons of the deal were leaked here there and everywhere by interested parties, ex Chief Executive Jim Hone warned that if Sisu were rebuffed then big cuts would have to be made in January if the club was to be able to run without going cap in hand to the bank in the New Year.

As we all know Hone was ousted by Leon Crouch who indicated that he did not felt the severity of the situation was being exagerated by the Executives to force home the SISU deal.

Six weeks since that takeover the silence from the Club has been deafening, at the AGM days after the coup it was admitted that the board didnt have the experience to run a multi million pound PLC and that they would be appointing a high profile Chairman to run the PLC board and help attract investment, that man was rumoured to be Anthony Sachs.

So far barely a word has been said on the entire subject either our losses or why we have yet to appoint that PLC director, however the loaning out of Rasiak and Skacel seem to point to the fact that our losses per month might not be so trivial after all.

Of course the Club will dress up the loans and make it seem as if it is in the best interest of the Club, but spin can be put both ways and in Rasiak we have certainly lost one of the most potent forwards in the division over the past 18 months, it is certainly good for the Club financially as they will be recieving a big fee, plus ridding a rumoured £15k a week in wages , but on a footballing front its virtually a declaration that we have given up on any hope of promotion.

I want Leon Crouch to succeed, I want to see this club prosper, of course i do, but I want to see leadership and I want to see the right decisions being made, football fans want to know what is going on at there Club, they cannot be fobbed off with excuses and god help a Chairman who lies to fans.

Its time for Leon Crouch to come out and tell the fans whats really happening at St Mary's, it might not be what we want to hear, but we will respect him more for it, we dont want to hear rumou and counter rumour from supporters who revel in supposedly being "In the know" I have lost count over the last year the number of times that I have been told that the Club will be taken over tomorrow and quite frankly I am sick to death of it, I want to see the Club run professionally and notsee boardroom secrets leaked over the internet ( There are many culprits here alledgedly if what I am being told is true)

Its good to see that Southampton Football Club is being run by local people with the Clubs interest at heart, but football is littered with Clubs who have nearly gone to the wall for one reason or another and guess what ! some of them have actually been taken there by supporters of the Club who have had the Clubs best interests at heart ! that doesnt mean they might make bad business decisions.

Tonight I feel as low as i have ever done as a Saints supporter, we are in our lowest league postition for over 45 years, we have no manager, no money and we appear to an outsider to be ruddeless both on and off the pitch, just where do we go next ??????
