Into the valley boy,man & soldier for a six pointer.

Saints and Charlton have been used to relegation battles in the Premier, so its a shock to the system to have one in this division and a barometer of the mess clubs can get into after relegation.

Saints finally have daylight between themselves and the bottom three, so its important not to throw away the good work in the last two games by losing at Charlton, a draw would suit Saints in that it would maintain that four point gap, however a win would really be a boost and to be honest this side dont know how to do anything but go for the win.

its a bigger decision for Poortvliet at the back, does he keep faith with Lloyd James, in truth he has been much improved since his spell out, but this is a big big game and we do need to be steely at the back and to be honest Pearce is a quality act and gives us aerial strength especially at corners.

Otherwise its probably pretty much as it has been the last two games, however now Poortvliet does have some good options off the bench.

With Saints you can never predict a result, but Charlton are there for the taking and if we did so it woul be a massive massive boost.

Once again the fans will be crucial, there wont be as many as at Reading, however with a low roof and most of the away end full they will be louder, if the Saints fans can inspire their team thent they might just turn the home fans against theirs, we are due a win at Charlton.
