 Friday, 24th May 2013 08:17 Saints supporters have an opportunity to suscribe to an exciting new publication from the excellent Hagiology Publishing. This books consists of the profiles of the 1,000-odd men who have played competitive, first-team football for the Saints – from the First Round of the Hampshire Junior Cup on 26 November 1887 to the last game of the Premiership season on 19 May 2013. This is an excellent extension to the book "Alphabet of the Saints published in 1992 and now sadly out of print, but this is a far bigger and expanded version of that tome and not only in that it covers the 21 years since the previous publication. Most of the profiles are accompanied by a photo and, in some cases, two or three photos, alongside not only a comprehensive and expansive biography and statistics, but where possible a recent photo of the player and a "where are they now" update. The book like the 2003 "In That Number" is likely to exceed 550 pages and be in a larger than A4 size. All of which means that this will be a massive book – currently projected at 560 pages – and is likely to retail at £35 (just like In That Number 10 years ago, luckily Hagiology havent heard of inflation). But you can order a ‘subscriber copy’ NOW, with your name printed in the book. The book will, of course, be heavy, so p&p will be £10 a copy, unless you wish to collect it at a designated address in Southampton, Eastleigh, Bristol or Salisbury or, on a match day, at St Mary’s.
