Saints fans have a chance to watch the Club's developement squad enjoy a rare out in at St Mary's and to make it even better its free to get in as well.

Newcastle United U21's are the visitors for this Thursday (3rd April) afternoon game at St Mary's when admission is free for the 2pm kick off.

Most U21's home games are played at Staplewood so not that accessible to most supporters so this is a rare chance to view the latest crop of up and coming stars in action.

Martin Hunter's squad currently occupy 4th in the league and if they wish to extend their campaign they must hold on to this spot against the teams below them who have vital games in hand, so this second home game of the week against the Toon Army is a must win game.

Speaking to the club's official website Hunter said.

“We’re at the stadium, which will give our players a lift but it will also give the opposition a boost. It’s a different environment, so we need to deal with that. We’ll deal with the opposition in the normal way.

“It should be a good occasion. It’s unfortunate that it’s in the early afternoon when a lot of people will be working, but for the players to play in this stadium is part of the way up the ladder to the First Team.

“It’s important for them to play in a fabulous stadium; that’s what they’re aspiring to do.”

Entry for the game can be found through Turnstile A, blocks five to eight.
