It is perhaps no surprise who has been voted as the star man by the members of The Ugly Inside after Saturdays win at Upton Park.

Morgan Schneiderlin has carded by far the highest score after his two goal burst at Upton Park led Saints to a 3-1 victory, his 8.7 was .9 higher than the next highest marks the 7.8' given to both Dusan tadic and Graziano Pelle.

Surprisingly it was a low marked team performance though, 6 of the 13 players in action got less than 7, another two got 7, with only Nathaniel Clyne and James Ward Prowse joining the former three players in polling over the 7 mark

This was a trifle unfair as in my opinion this was very much a team performance and surely a 3-1 win away from home against a team who the previous week had won 3-0 was a decent result, what had lowest voted player Yoshida done that differently to Fonte that merited .4 less in the markings ?

Still this is what the player ratings are all about differing opinions, however I dont think many will argue with the actual top three results.

Bison added 15:41 - Sep 1 Out of curiosity Nick , were there many 'sabotage' votes that would take the scores down ? I thought we played fantastic , especially second half.

welhamdowed added 15:45 - Sep 1 The first half was pretty poor and we lacked a cutting edge + West ham were really, really bad the whole game. I suppose it's hard to give too high a mark to the players as any other result would have been deemed as points dropped and a poor result. It's a little unfair on Yosh as I think he and Jose did well enough. Morgan did make a mistake for their goal too, not just Yosh. Plus Long was the lowest ranked Saint, which I agreed with, If/When Jrod comes back I don't see him getting much game time. I hope Jrod does come back.
