Swansea Tickets Sold Out But Why No More Tickets
Monday, 8th Sep 2014 12:24

Saints received an allocation of 1034 tickets for Swansea which understandably sold out within a day or two of being on sale but why are we not getting any more.

In the two seasons that Saints have been back in the Premier League we have visited Swansea City twice, on both occasions we received the maximum allocation of 2,200 tickets for the game and easily sold them.

This season we initially received 1,034 tickets, again easily sold indicating that we would have had no problem selling out the full allocation, indeed in both of the League away fixtures so far we have taken around 2,000 supporters to both, so with the club subsidising the travel costs to this game surely taking the full allocation for the trip to South Wales was a formality especially with the increased optimism of late after a difficult summer.

Why whoever has made the decision to only take this limited allocation has done so is strange and surely if the club were worried about losing money on having unsold tickets then it would be better to use some of the away travel fund to cover this rather than offer a discount to a minority of the club's away supporters who prefer to travel on the official coach transport.

That is a ridiculously small allocation. Is there anyone at the Cub who can be asked about this?
