Support Franny As He Approaches St Mary's On Saturday! Route Details Here
Friday, 12th Sep 2014 10:17

For those who perhaps cannot make the game on Saturday but who would like to support Francis Benali as he approaches the end of his run, here are the details of the route.

Of course Franny can only run into the City from one direction so that means that it may be a trek for some, but if you are a Saints fan and want to cheer him on, he will be very grateful if you could turn up on the route and offer some encouragement and if you can spare it a donation to his worthy cause.

The route will be as follows.

Franny will be leaving Bentley School at 07:30

He will be coming in via Cheriton at 10:15 Beauworth

At 10:30 onto the B33421 Bubb Lane,

Past the Moorgreen Hospital at 14:20

A3024 Bitterne Road West at 14:45

Britannia Road to St Mary's at 15:00

His support team have suggested the Big Cheese Pub in Bitterne as a central point for Well wishers to gather at around 2pm to give him a truly magnificent welcome into the City boundaries itself.

Of course all times are approximate and could vary a few minutes or so either way, but with the finishing line in site, Franny will be keen to stick to the time scales as strictly as possible, especially to ensure that he can arrive at St mary's just prior to kick off.

He will then be running out on to the pitch for a lap of honour at half time, it would be great if as many people as possible could stay in their seats and give him a great welcome back to St Mary's, not just for his great achievements over the past three weks, but for his service to this football club.

Anyone one who does not forego their burger and coke at half time to see this saints legend enter the stadium does not appreciate what Franny has gone through over the past few weeks and what if means to the club in general. Barring an emergency the stadium seats should all be occupied at half time on Saturday. One Franny Benali.
