Big Period Coming Up For Saints Monday, 13th Oct 2014 07:57 Saints return to domestic duty with a run of matches that could really make this season something special if we can win them. Saints go into Saturday's game at home to Sunderland knowing that a win against the jackets followed by another in a second successive home game the following week will not only really put us in a great position in the top three, but line us up nicely for what will be the most important game of the season so far when we travel to Stoke City for a Capital One Cup game that will leave the winners on the cusp of the semi's if they get a good draw. With regards to the League winning those two games would see us on 19 points and would take the pressure off us and allow us to concentrate on the Stoke game, Saints supporters have been starved of real cup success for the best part of a decade since our run to the FA Cup final in 2003, just as the the JPT final epitomised the start of our revival in 2010' a domestic cup final this season would confirm our place in the Premier as a team who can compete rather than just hope to steer clear of relegation. So the next month will be very important, of course football is a game that can bite you in the behind just when you think things are rosy, but we truly do have an opportunity here, last season the club's management did not recognise the importance of concentrating on the cups, this year its far different its going to be an exciting month.
