Three More Saints Games To Be Shown On Live TV
Tuesday, 11th Nov 2014 16:09

Saints have another three fixture changes after the latest round of TV coverage matches has been announced.

Saints’ trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United has been moved to Sunday 11th January and will kick-off at 4pm.

On Saturday 17th January, Saints travel to Newcastle United, and while the date remains the same, the game will now get under way at 5.30pm.

Finally, Saints’ home game against Swansea City will now take place on Sunday 1st February, kick-off 4pm at St Mary's.

The two away fixtures whilst good news for those Saints fans who don't travel away from home, mean long haul away trips for those that do, those going to Newcastle won't leave the ground till around 7.30pm and face a long trip home.

This means that of the next 12 League games spread over near on the next three months, only two will be played at 3pm on a Saturday perhaps one of the downsides of our success this season

More games on live TV = More TV money = More RoKo bargain buys!

From a purely selfish point of view, all these televised games is not good news (3pm Saturday is fine, other days and times are usually more difficult and plus I am a bit old school and like my football being on a Saturday afternoon)- added to which, though I realise it is a stupid superstition on my part, but we generally do not seem to do too well result wise when we are on TV. But you are right, it is probably a reflection of our current relative success.
