Saints Have Nothing To Fear
Sunday, 30th Nov 2014 08:57

Although it cannot be argued that the next few weeks are going to be tough, Saints have nothing to fear and can go into these games knowing they are where they are n merit.

Saints prepare to take on three fixtures in the next eight days which normally would bring much trepidation, but with respect to all of these three clubs, that trepidation is based not on current form but reputation.

But Manchester City s a team are not firing on all four cylinders, Arsenal have just had their worst start in three decades and Manchester United although finding their feet a little are not the side they were a couple of years ago.

That being the case Saints should take the game to them and let them worry about us rather than the other way round as the old saying goes, "We have nothing to fear other than feat itself"

So let us embrace the situation we find ourselves in revel in the fact that we are there on merit and take the game to our opponents as we have been doing all season so far, do that and a few people expecting us to blow up might just be having to back track very quickly in the next few weeks.

We can take inspiration from Sunderland this weekend, they took on a Chelsea side who are bang on form and earned a hard thought draw, indeed they could even have won it and finished the stronger side.

Spot on nick. I'd love to see us get at city, I genuinely think we have the quality to get a result.

Unless we fail to include Jack Corks in the squad - oops, is he injured ?

Sadly it looks like the team took the opposite view. They looked very nervous throughout the match and never committed to a tackle or attacking play.

Cork was ill evidently. The game was lost at half-time with the loss of Spiderman. We finished with both Yoshida and Mayuka on the field which is all you need to know about the true depth of our squad. No side should lose 3-0 after being 1-0 down with 10 mins to go against 10 men...
