Morgan Schneiderlin has returned to full training with the Saints squad ahead of Sunday's crunch game against Liverpool.

Saints fans will be pleased to learn that Morgan Schneiderlin has returned to full training at Staplewood ahead of the big game against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Frenchman had been out for almost a month before returning for a cameo role off the bench against Queens Park Rangers a fortnight ago, however he suffered a reaction to the abductor injury in that game and missed the following game against West Ham.

Now though he has had another fortnights rest and is ready to take his place in the squad to face his former team mates in the Liverpool side.

Saints have struggled for goals in recent weeks and the return of Schneiderlin alongside Shane Long who also looks likely to be available means that although both are unlikely to start they offer good options off the bench and for the first time in a while Ronald Koeman will have a strong bench to choose from.
