Six Points And Nothing Less Tuesday, 24th Feb 2015 13:36 Saints failure in their last three home games to get anything more than a single point means that the next two games are crucial if we want to stay up with the pack chasing the top four. It seems like an age since Saints beat Manchester United at Old Trafford yet although it was 7 weeks ago this weekend it has only been six games, in that respect Saints 10 points from those six games has been steady if not spectacular, however it should have been much better and our 4 points from the last four games shows a decrease in the points average. Therefore Saints now have no room for manoevre put bluntly we have thrown away our advantage and now need to start winning games and get ourselves back into the driving seat in the race for the top four, not only that but we need to make sure that we stay in the top six at least and qualify for the Europa league as a very minimum. Whatever the way the season ends it will be successful in respect of where we have had to come from after the trials of last summer, but we have now set ourselves higher standards than 9 months ago and having set those standards we have to maintain them. Sadly we came through a tough time well and just as we started to get players back from injury it all seems to have gone wrong, but we need to put that ll behind us, forget the bad refereeing decsions and concentrate on doing what we do well. This being the case it is essential that we go to West Bromwich Albion and win and then follow that up with three points at home to Crystal Palace, if we do this then we are back on track and all set for a bumper run in to the end of the season.
