Fraser Forster Reported To Be Out For Six Months Wednesday, 25th Mar 2015 16:51 According to media reports on some national newspaper websites Fraser Forster could be out till the Autumn after suffering a broken knee. Several national newpapers are reporting on their websites that Fraser Forster has suffered a broken kneecap after slipping up while clearing a backpass in Saints win over Burnley on Saturday. They are saying that this injury is expected to keep him out for six months and it seems likely that not only will he miss the end of this season but will also miss the start of next season. This means that in the summer Saints will have to look for a replacement keeper who can not only deputise for Forster when needed but is capable of playing extended spells in the team when called upon. This has not been the case this season after Artur Boruc left for Bournemouth on loan meaning that Saints have had to rely on Kelvin Davis to fill the goalkeeping spot if Forster was unavailable, the gamble almost paid off until Saturday. Although it has been reported that there is no recall for Boruc, it has also come to light that loan deals for Goalkeepers are subject to different rules that outfield players and that Saints might actually have a recall option on Boruc which isnt something Bournemouth fans want to hear. However Boruc left after being offered the opportunity to play back up to Forster and there was a feeling that the Polish keeper wasn't happy with the situation, so if the recall option is there Saints have to weigh up whether Boruc would be in the right frame of mind to come into the squad or whether it would be better to soldier on with Kelvin Davis or even try Paulo Gazzaniga or Cody Cropper Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
