Pelle Scores (For Italy)
Tuesday, 31st Mar 2015 20:59

Graziano Pelle has ended his scoring drought at last, only trouble is its for Italy against England in Turin.

Whilst the nation switched on expecting the latest golden boy Harry Kane to be netting the first goal, it was a man who couldn't seem to buy a goal of late who took that honour scoring with a header on the half hour mark.

The Saints man should really have doubled his total shortly after the break when he fired wide following as mix up in the England defence.

But it is good news for Saints fans, Pellet really needed a goal and the pressure to get one in a Saints shirt was clearly weighing heavily on him in the past few games, now that pressure is off him and hopefully having scored for his country he will return to Premier League action raring to go and keen to recapture his goal scoring form up until the turn of the year.

He couldn't hit a barn door lately in a saints shirt but it was a well taken goal which shows his confidence is good. Perhaps his Saints drought has been in part down to not delivering the ball into areas of strength for him. Last night was a classic cross from out wide that is meat and drink for a big centre forward. Take note Tadic and co.

'Pellet' would be useful for shooting!
