Saints Reported To Have Made £6 Million Bid To Legia Warsaw
Tuesday, 5th May 2015 12:07

According to some press reports Saints have already lodged a £6 million pound bid with Polish club Legia Warsaw for midfielder Ondrej Duda.

Saints are interested in bringing Legia Warsaw playmaker Ondrej Duda to St Mary's and it has been suggested that their interest is being backed up with a firm £6 million bid for the 20 year old.

Duda has emerged as one of the brightest young playmakers in Europe this season, hitting eight goals in 31 games in Poland since moving from Kosice last year. A more attack minded player that Schneiderlin whom he is being lined up to replace the Slovakian International fits the mould that Saints are looking for, ie a young player with plenty to prove rather than high priced superstars.

Of course Saints are being linked with every up and coming youngster than moves at the moment, especially if they are Dutch, however Saints have an advantage over many of their rivals in the transfer market in the fact that they still have money from last summers profitable transfer window, not to mention a large chunk of the income from the Premier League and unlike this summer we are able to be pro active in the market and get in our replacements before people leave, unlike a year ago when everything was reactionary.
