Saints Favourite To Sign Yohan Cabaye As Bookies Slash Odds
Friday, 26th Jun 2015 14:58

According to the bookmakers Saints are the club who Yohan Cabaye is most likely to join this summer.

Cabay has not enjoyed the best of times at PSG since his move there in the January of 2014 and it seems inevitable that he will now leave the Paris club.

It looked like his likely destination would be London with West Ham, Spurs, Arsenal and Crystal Palace all vying for his signature, however although the Eagles looked set in that he had played for the Toon under Palace boss Alan Pardew, it seems that the Selhurst Park club cannot compete in terms of transfer fee and wages not to mention possible success.

That being the case and the fact that Cabaye wants regular football that he might not get at Arsenal means that St mary's could well be the place he ends up as he needs regular football if he is to force his way into the France team for the forthcoming European Championships, sitting on PSG'sbench is doing him no favours and he will not want to swap their bench for Arsenal's

Certainly he is being heavily backed to end up on the South Coast and the bookies have slashed their odds, with Skybet now offering below evens after a run of money on Cabaye to join Saints.

Now it could be something out of nothing, but with bets on transfers bookies get very edgy due to the possibility of insider information being leaked.

Haha, love they way everyone us too scared to comment in the hope it might be true! Nuts the 'maybe if we don't talk about it there's more of a chance it will happen'. It's a bit like me if I buy a lottery ticket; as soon as I start imagining winning it, then I beat myself up because no one ever wins who thinks they're gonna, right?

Personally, I can't think of a better master/mentor for JWPthan Cabaye. Same great technique for hitting a ball and similar stature. He could teach James how to use his ability and technique to hit the killer pass or score from outside the box.

Fingers crossed this happens. Cabaye for 10 million represents very good business.
