Saints efforts to sign one replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin have not come to fruition according to the player's agent.

Saints have been closely linked with Giannelli Imbula in the past few days but now it seems that the player has chosen to move elsewhere accoring to the man who should know, his agent !

Imbula’s agent Willy Ndagi (also his father) has confirmed that the player will be joining FC Porto in Portugla for the coming season, although this could be subject to change as inter Milan found out last week after appearing to have secured the player's services .

However the deal fell though due to the Italian's preferring a loan deal, Porto though have apparently laid down 23 million euros to sign Imbula on a permanent basis and if this does go through rather than turning out to be yet another agent trying to play one club against another then Imbula will join Porto rather than heading to the Premier League.
