Saints Voted Most Loved Club In The Premier League
Thursday, 3rd Sep 2015 13:16 The Mirror has conducted a survey amongst fans of Premier League clubs to ascertain the most hated and loved clubs and guess what the results where .
The first poll asked fans what current Premier League side they most hated and it was no surprise that Manchester United came out top followed by Chelsea, then Liverpool with Manchester City in fourth just pipping Tottenham Hotspur in fifth.
Saints came out 19th most hated with Bournemouth in last place as the least hated team, presumably because they haven't been in it long enough to upset anyone yet.
However in the second poll conducted where the question was which other Premier League club do you most love, Saints came out top cementing their place as the Premier League team everyone likes to do well after their own team.
It seems our playing style and the way we conduct ourselves these days has struck a chord with fans of other clubs.

Good to hear. From experience, if I were to do a straw poll amongst football supporting friends the majority would say Saints are their second favourite team or the team they love most/hate least. Think there are a number of reasons for this: nostalgia and affection for the genius that is Le God, the atmosphere of the Dell and beating Manure in 1976. More recently, it is the commitment to bringing through young English talent and playing exciting football and probably some sympathy for how the big clubs raid our squad every summer and yet we still excel against all expectations. Finally, I would say it's also because we have the wittiest and best-looking fans in the league too but that would be a bit biased. Proud to be a Saint! |  | |

The other fans are just being patronizing. Especially the "bigger" clubs. To them we're the plucky little team that gives them a good game but doesn't really threaten them. If we ever start challenging the status quo, watch how attitudes will change! Which will be great, because it's better to be feared than loved! |  | |
