Pelle Wins Saints Player Of The Month Award Saturday, 10th Oct 2015 10:20 Graziano Pelle has won Saints player of the month award for September and he is probably already the front runner for October after his performance at Chelsea. Graziano Pelle has been voted the club player of the month for September after scoring twice against Manchester United and following that up with his best game in a Saints shirt (so far)in the win against Swansea City in the last home game. Talking to the club's official web site Pelle said. “I’m really happy and proud and I hope to win many others because that means I’m doing well,” “The most important thing is the team because you don’t win by yourself, so I have to say thanks to everybody — the supporters and my teammates." “In this month as a team we found our best form. We are doing well. We won a game at home and maybe it was not easy for the fans to judge the best this month." “I don’t want to say it’s down to myself. I give my best and I’m working hard and I’ve got a reward.” Season Ticket holder Connor Wood presented Pellè with his award at St Mary’s, and the Italian striker was pleased to receive his prize from a Saints fan. “For them it’s really important to get in touch with the players of the first team and I’m really happy to receive the award from him,” “I also made his day and it’s always beautiful to have contact with the fans." “They always support me in a good and a bad moment and my job is always to try and score goals, make them happy and then go home after the game with everybody enjoying a victory for Southampton.” Credit to Pelle for winning the award and his performance at Chelsea will surely make him the early favourite to repeat the feat in October. He is right most Saints fans are right behind him and hopefully his performances this season will convince that small minority who verbally abuse him that he is a vital component in the Saints side, Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
