Florin Gardos Kicks Ball For First Time In Four Months Tuesday, 17th Nov 2015 22:29 Florin Gardos has tweeted about his return to light training after his knee injury in the summer. Florin Gardos has posted pictures of him kicking a ball for the first time in four months and confirmed that he is back in light training Gardos injured his knee back in July and it was reported at the time that he faced six to seven months on the sidelines. Today he published pictures of him kicking a ball in the dome at Saints Staplewood training ground adding "First time I kick the ball in 4 months. Feels amazing. So good to be back" Gardos had a mixed time last season finding it hard to get a game with the central pairing of Fonte/Alderweireld playing so well and started only 5 Premier League games with another 6 as substitute. However he had a knack of playing in some important games including the home draw with Chelsea, the home win over Arsenal and the victory at Old Trafford, he had his critics, but of those 11 appearances, Saints would win 8, draw 2 and lose only 1, that being his final appearance of the season at West Brom when he was substituted after only 25 minutes with Ronald Koeman changing his formation. Strangely he would not make another appearance all season, despite usually being on the bench. It is good to see him return to training though as he did show signs in his final games that he was adapting to the standards required and the teams record when he played showed that he was not as bad as some would have you belive if you read some message boards.
